The Daily Harry Potter

Professor Rubeus Hagrid was the senior half-brother of the enormous Grawp and an English half-giant magician. Mr. Hagrid and the giantess Fridwulfa were his parents. At School of Hogwarts, Witchcraft and Wizardry in 1940, Tom Riddle accused Harry of being a part of the Chamber of Secrets.

He was given a gamekeeping education and permitted to remain on the school grounds after being expelled. He accepted the professor of care of magical creatures position and was tasked with reintroducing Harry Potter to the wizarding community. The Battle of Hogwarts in 1998 was one of the conflicts he participated in during the First and Second Wizarding Wars.

It’s safe to presume that Hagrid stayed in touch with the group after the conflict. In 2017, he was still alive and, presumably, continuing to teach and care for his gamekeeping responsibilities at Hogwarts. Harry extended the same invitation to his son Albus Severus when he started attending school, just as Hagrid had done for his friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. and father

Early Life

Hagrid, born in 1928 to Mr. Hagrid and giantess Fridwulfa, was raised in the English West Country. When he was three years old, his mother left to return to her Giant colony, leaving his father to raise him alone. Although he had good memories of his father, he acknowledged that she had not been a terrific mother.

Hogwarts years of education (1940–1942–43) and How Did Hagrid Get His Hogwarts Job

In 1940, Hagrid was admitted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry and placed in the Gryffindor House of students. He bought a young Acromantula during his third year and gave it the name Aragog. Hagrid defended Aragog and was exiled after Tom Marvolo Riddle unlocked the Chamber of Secrets and let loose a terrible beast.

The Ministry of Magic prohibited Hagrid from using magic after he was expelled and destroyed his wand. Albus Dumbledore, who was teaching Transfiguration at the time, believed Hagrid was innocent but persuaded Armando Dippet, the headmaster at the time, to offer Hagrid the position of a gamekeeper and let him stay as a student at the school. Hagrid carried on casting spells with the help of his pink umbrella, which most likely housed the broken pieces of his wand or, in some instances, the entire rod that Dumbledore had repaired for him using the Elder Wand.

War of the First Wizard (1970-1981)

In the 1970s, after being expelled from Hogwarts, Hagrid joined the Order of the Phoenix, a covert group Albus Dumbledore created to fight Lord Voldemort and his Death Eaters. Hagrid saved a one-year-old Harry Potter from the rubble of his home in Godric’s Hollow during the First Wizarding War and took him to Albus Dumbledore and Minerva McGonagall, who was waiting to give the child to his only surviving family. However, the idea that James and Lily Potter were no longer alive made Hagrid depressed.

Physical characteristics

Hagrid is a half-giant born to a wizard father and a tremendous mother. Standing at eleven feet, six inches tall, and three times as wide, he was twice as tall as the average man and had a lengthy mane of shaggy black hair and a beard that covered most of his face. With his outdoor lifestyle and occupation, he was in excellent physical shape. In addition, he had a light complexion and black eyes.

He frequently carried items in his extra-large moleskin overcoat’s numerous pockets, including the Gringotts vault key, moldy dog biscuits, a squashed package of sausages, a copper kettle, a fire poker, wizard money, a birthday cake, birthday presents, a dirty caught handkerchief, slug pellets, and a live owl. Because of his stature, most of his attire must be handcrafted.

Qualities and character

Hagrid was a friendly, compassionate person who frequently overlooked his stature and power while patting people on the back. He showed loyalty to his friends by telling Olympe Maxime that he was a half-giant, which Rita Skeeter overheard and made public to the wizarding community. He was extremely fond of magical beings, especially hybrids like the Blast-Ended Skrewt, and got along better with most Forbidden Forest occupants. However, he was expelled from the school because he tended to underestimate the hazards posed by some magical creatures, including his pet Acromantula Aragog and his dragon Norbert.

He enjoyed drinking and had a reputation for being confrontational, particularly when someone insulted or harmed someone he cared about. He also avoided breaking the Wizarding Law under pressure because of his intense fear of rejection and insecurity.

Magic skills and abilities

Rubeus Hagrid was a capable wizard and half-giant with magical traits, including superhuman strength and endurance and other talents like caring for animals, crafting, crossbowman ship, and networking.

Magical mastery

Hagrid was a great magician who could communicate non-verbally by using his umbrella. According to Harry Potter’s suspicions, Hagrid’s shattered wand pieces might have been hidden under his umbrella. Hagrid revealed to Harry that he was forbidden from using magic due to being expelled from Hogwarts and having his wand destroyed some time before. He could never turn Dudley Dursley into a pig or fix his motorcycle, proving that his magic could have been better. Despite being competent with most spells, he never received a diploma from Hogwarts.

Additionally, nonverbal magic

Hagrid had considerable talent with charms, as evidenced by his use of the Boat Enchantment Charm and the Engorgement Charm to enlarge pumpkins. He could also efficiently do nonverbal magic, like starting a fire and changing a pig’s tail.

Magical defense

Hagrid’s massive blood made him immune to spells that produce stunning. Also, Hagrid was shielded from curses, especially Dark Magic, because he always had the upper hand in conflicts.

Crossbowmanship

Hagrid was also a competent crossbowman, using one as his main line of defense.

Transfiguration

Hagrid showed some talent for Transfiguration by using a pig’s tail to transform Dudley Dursley and engaging in conjuration. This is remarkable considering Transfiguration’s challenge—even seasoned wizards have trouble with it.

Gamekeeping expertise

Hagrid was an effective and knowledgeable Keeper of Keys and Grounds at Hogwarts, handling challenging chores for both wizards and non-wizards and completing secret and special tasks.

Cooking

Hagrid, a half-giant who loved to cook, frequently had different tastes from his visitors. So when he prepared sausages for Harry at the Hut-On-The-Rock, Harry was grateful and remarked that they were better than anything he had previously eaten.

Thinking strategically and being resourceful

When Aragog was suspected of being Slytherin’s Monster, Hagrid was a creative and diplomatic person who could apply strategic thinking. He also managed to avoid captivity and learn that Voldemort intended to attack Hogwarts, which gave him, Grawp, and Fang enough time to return to Hogwarts before the Battle of Hogwarts started.
